How OpenPGP works:

John and Tina generate an OpenPGP key pair (a private key and a public key)
John and Tina exchange their public keys, they do not share their private keys.
John writes a love letter and encrypts it using Tinas public key.
Tina gets the encrypted love letter and decrypts it using her own private key.
Because she has Johns public key, she can make sure the love letter is authentic.
Installing Kleopatra
The first step is to install Kleopatra using debian linux.
sudo apt install kleopatra scdaemon
Or boot tailsos which comes preinstalled with Kleopatra.

Basic Message Encryption

Let's generate your keys now.
Start Kleopatra and click 'New Key Pair'
Enter a false name and a false email address and click 'OK'
OpenPGP certificate created successfully! Click 'OK'
Now that you have some keys, let's encrypt your address using your public key.
See 'Notepad' in the toolbar at the top? Click on 'Notepad' and type in your address.
See where it says 'Recipients' in the tab above your address? Click on 'Recipients'
Tick only the 'Sign as' and 'Encrypt for me' boxes. Now click 'Sign / Encrypt Notepad'
You just encrypted your address using your public key!
Click the 'Notepad' tab to see your encrypted address.
Copy, paste and save this encrypted address anywhere, only you can decrypt it.

Basic Message Decryption

Copy and paste the encrypted address you saved earlier into Kleopatras 'Notepad'
Click 'Decrypt / Verify Notepad' Kleopatra will use your private key to decrypt it.
Way to go! You're a pro.

Recieving Encrypted Messages from Others

Mark wants to send us his encrypted address but first we must send him our public key.
To do so click 'Certificates' in the Kleopatra toolbar. Double click on your certificate.
See this window? To export your public key click 'Export'
This is your public key.
Save your public key to a text file and send it to Mark. Now Mark will encrypt his address for you.
When you recieve Marks encrypted address copy and paste it into Kleopatras 'Notepad'
Click 'Decrypt / Verify Notepad'
Great job! You just decrypted Marks address.
Sending Encrypted Messages to others
Now let's say you need to send your encrypted address to Mark.
In order to do this, Mark must first provide you with his public key.
